To Stop the Next Pandemic requires protecting Wildlife Habitats
Lee Hannah, the senior scientist at Conservation International argues that there are four critical facets of pandemic prevention. Three of them make immediate sense concerning the current global crises and emergency: stockpile masks and respirators; have testing infrastructure ready; and ban the global wildlife trade, including the open animal markets where Covid-19 may have first infected people. The fourth recommendation of Lee Hannah is “Take care of nature.”
