SCP/RAC developed 5 new business models for sustainability transition in Mediterranean
New business models and new economic structures are needed to enable sustainability transition. SPA/RAC proposes in the new document “Circular Economy Business Strategies” (the Switchers Support programme) 5+1 business strategies that can lead to alternative, sustainable business model. The publication states that shift to sustainable patterns of consumption and production is urgently needed and can be enabled only by pursuing a set of sustainable business models. In addition, it proposes a definition of a sustainable business model and present how value creation happens. Hierarchy among the business models based on retention of value and extension of responsibility is suggested.
