We unite for the 50th time for our Planet – Earth Day 50th Anniversary

This year the Earth is uniting people around the planet for the 50th time, one of the planet’s largest civic movements, leading not only citizens but politicians and government too, to initiate and or adopt  landmark environmental action and laws to fight enormous challenges and use vast opportunities of acting on climate change and environmental/biodiversity protection. The significance of the planetary movements has reach its peak in 2016 when United Nations chose Earth Day as the day to sign the Paris climate agreement into force.

This year Earth Day 2020 is a historic moment to rise up and united for the creativity, innovation, ambition, to meet the climate crisis and seize the enormous opportunities of a zero-carbon future. The Climate change represents the biggest challenge to the future of humanity and the life-support systems that make our world habitable. The urgency calls for every country in the world to step up and vigorously implement actions to save natural resources and fight climate change.

The Earth Day 2020 themes invite for mobilization of millions around the world on April 22, 2020 to act upon climate change; reducing waste and plastic pollution – the  Great Global Cleanup worldwide campaign to remove billions of waste from neighbourhoods, beaches, rivers, lakes, trails, and parks; equip individuals with the tools to report on the health and wellbeing of the environment, from water quality, to air quality, to the species around them – Earth Challenge 2020; Foodprints for the Future – different actors across all sectors to address the food system and gathering artists from around the world to art to express our common humanity for the Planet – Artists for the Earth.

The Earth Day initiative.
